The company before entering the field of jukeboxes was in the field of manufacturing stringed musical instruments brass instruments, wood wind, theatre organs, band organs, electric pianos, jukeboxes and orchestrions.

Anyhow, with the course of time, the company concentrated only on the manufacture of organs and jukeboxes. The company was one of the most famous companies in the field during its time. The company faced trouble or to say competition from the company named rockola jukeboxes and suffered huge loss in the period of 60’s. The company now does not produce either of the products. The company is actually located in the same complex as that of the Eugene Dekleist Company. This is another company which deals in the field of organs and other things like orchestrions which has been acquired by the Wurlitzer. The company is in North Tonawanda, New York in the United States. The building is now not any more used for the purpose of the company but for housing many small commercial business entities. The tenants of the building range from a batting cage to private accommodations. The building also houses many light industries and other commercial set ups. The current owner of the building has taken up the task of restoration of the whole building and the owner of the building also changed the logo of the company.

Quintin Maclean is the organist with the name of whom the organs name has been associated from a long period of time. The black pool opera house organ was the latest of the organs introduced by the legendary company. This was actually introduced in 1939 but the thing was that most of this was an adaptation from a previous organ installed in Edinburgh.
